Your privacy
Simple discovery. No hidden consumer profile.
This policy explains what Waynak receives when you browse, search, use nearby search, save a place on this device, open third-party content, flag a listing fact, suggest a shop, or book a time with a business.

What Waynak does not create
- Waynak does not currently create consumer accounts or consumer advertising profiles.
- Waynak does not sell personal data.
- Waynak does not send or store precise consumer location, your contact list, private messages, or social-media passwords.
- Waynak does not copy or re-host Instagram, Google Maps, or other provider media.
Browsing and search
Waynak receives the page and search request needed to return results. The application does not write typed search phrases to a Waynak consumer database or analytics profile. Hosting and security providers may process requested URLs, IP addresses, device/browser information, and timestamps to deliver and protect the service under their own retention practices.
If Google Places search is enabled, the search words and broad market context needed for the request may be sent server-to-server to Google. Waynak does not send precise consumer location. Google processes that request under the Google Privacy Policy.
Nearby search and distance
If you choose “Use my location”, your browser asks your permission and provides your current coordinates for that search only. Before anything leaves your device, Waynak reduces them to an approximate location (about 100 metres). Only this approximate location is sent — securely, inside the request body and never in a web address — to Waynak's server, where it is used solely to rank and measure nearby results for that one search.
That approximate location is used only for the search in progress. It is not stored, is not written to logs, and is not attached to a consumer profile. Your precise coordinates never leave the device: they are used only in this page's memory to estimate distance to businesses that publish an exact map pin. Nothing is sent to Google.
Using your location is optional. If you decline, or choose “Stop using location”, Waynak falls back to area or city-level results and on-device distance only. Your browser controls the underlying location permission, and you can use Waynak without granting it.
Saved and compared places
Saved-place and comparison choices stay in this browser on this device. They are not synced to a Waynak consumer account. Clearing site data removes them.
Business information and source content
Claimed business facts and approved content come from tijariq Builder's public discovery contract. Google Maps facts remain labelled as Google Maps content. Instagram previews load from Instagram only after you choose to load them. Opening a source link or embed allows that provider to process the request under its own terms and privacy policy.
Viewing a Google Maps place inside Waynak does not create a Waynak consumer profile and does not save your location.
Listing-quality signals
When the “Something looks wrong” option is available, it sends only the listing, a fixed factual reason, language, page context, and a time bucket. It does not accept a free-text message and does not store a consumer profile, precise location, or cross-session identifier. A signal never changes a listing automatically; the business owner reviews it in Builder.
Booking a time
If a business has switched booking on, choosing a slot asks you for a name and a phone number. Waynak sends that name and phone number, the service you picked, the date and time, the staff member if you chose one, and your language to tijariq Builder, which holds the booking for that business. Waynak does not keep its own copy and does not add it to any consumer profile.
The business you are booking with decides what happens to that booking and is responsible for it; Waynak and tijariq handle it on the business's behalf. It is stored on Supabase infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany, so a booking is processed outside Oman. Booking records are kept by the business for as long as it needs them for its own bookkeeping — Waynak does not set that period.
The business sees more than one booking at a time. Bookings made with the same phone number are grouped into a customer record it can open: how many appointments you completed, how many you cancelled, how many you did not turn up for, when you first and last came, what you booked last, and any private note the business has written about you. Cancelling through your booking link does not remove any of this — it records a cancellation.
We ask for these details because they are what a booking needs: without a name and a number the business cannot hold the slot or reach you if something changes. To confirm a hold you are shown a short code and a link that opens WhatsApp with a message to the business already written out. You send it yourself, from your own WhatsApp — so the business receives your WhatsApp number and whatever name your WhatsApp profile shows, which need not be the ones you typed, and Meta handles the message under its own terms. If you would rather not do that, simply do not send it: an unconfirmed hold expires by itself and is deleted. Contact the business directly instead.
A request also carries a short code made from your network address that changes every day, used only to stop one person taking every slot. It is not linked to your booking details for any other purpose and cannot follow you from one day to the next.
After booking you get a private link to your own booking page. Anyone holding that link can see the booking, move it, or cancel it, so treat it like a ticket. Cancelling ends the appointment; it does not erase the record, and the cancellation itself is kept. To ask what a business holds about you, to correct it, or to ask for it to be erased, contact that business directly — or email [email protected] and we will point you to the right place. Waynak keeps no copy of its own to erase, so an erasure request has to be answered by the business holding the booking.
Suggesting a shop
“Add a shop” asks only about the business — its name, optional Instagram handle, area, category, and a short note. It does not ask who you are and does not accept your name, contact details, or location.
One thing does travel with the suggestion: a short code made from your network address, so a single person cannot flood the review queue. It changes every day, so it cannot be used to recognise you tomorrow or to build a history of what you have suggested. Nothing you suggest publishes automatically; a reviewer checks it first.
Providers and international processing
Waynak uses service providers including Vercel for hosting and Supabase in Frankfurt for the Builder business-data service. Source providers such as Google or Instagram may process data in other countries when you use their content or links.
Your choices
- Browse without creating a consumer account.
- Do not grant location permission, or choose “Stop using location” after checking nearby distance.
- Do not load an Instagram preview; use the source link only if you prefer.
- Clear browser site data to remove device-local saved and comparison choices.
- Contact a business by phone or WhatsApp instead of booking online, if you would rather not give a name and number through Waynak.
- Email [email protected] about privacy, access, deletion, or correction questions.
Changes
We will update this page and its date before introducing a materially different consumer-data practice. Beyond the approximate location used for nearby search described above, storing precise location, creating a consumer identity, tracking behaviour, or using advertising data still requires a separate product decision; this policy does not authorize it.
